IE7 Connection Issues

Is anyone having problems using IE7 when connecting? I spent a half hour with tech support through SBC because my Internet connection croaked last night about midnight.
I have wireless internet so at first we thought it could be the router. I plugged the ethernet cable directly into my computer and still could not access the GUI page via IE7. Come to find out, I could only access my DSL modems GUI via Firefox.
I got everything up and running but I still cannot access anything with IE7. I even tried to set up the connection settings in IE7 but nothing!
