Well, I guess it wasn't true love after all...

That basically details the gist of this scam. I got it, but all I "lost" was a Yahoo! e-mail account that I keep for these sorts of things anyway. Basically, not much.

It's a shame, too. Assuming her pics are for real, she is a really hot chick.

Oh well. I was sort of half hoping I might've been able to get lucky like this, but it wasn't meant to be.

Well, MySpace is acting weird right now or I'd share with you the profile of the person who's account sent me the message (and probably report them to if there is such a feature) but I can't. Maybe later.

EDIT:

That's who sent me the MySpace message.

You fell for that one? I get messages like that all the time; I just click the spam/abuse button.

I like how there's all those poor schmucks who have commented on that profile thinking she is actually interested in them.

Meh. You guys got the condensed version. I basically sent the e-mail to her to see what would happen. I was expecting a scam, hence using the e-mail address that I don't care about and "keep for these sorts of things" remember?

I might have gotten a message, although I ignore messages from people I don't know, so I wasn't affected. I always assumed that scams at Myspace didn't go past "MySpace.com is shutting down. Forward this to 1,000 people or I will smoke some PCP, strip down to my underwear, coat myself in goat blood, hunt you down, and impale you with a trident".

Well, it's not that I don't appreciate your warning us that the woman that wants to show us her boobies through myspace might be trying to scam us, it's just that...well there's a bit of a "duh" factor happening here.

Did I or did I not also provide you with a link to said boobies without you having to deal with the scam yourself?

I'd say that's a useful service.

Yes, you've been quite helpful. Unfortunately this doesn't change the fact that I, most of my contact list, the people watching this thread and a few others will be sharing this as one of our in-jokes for the next eight months.
