Fixing CRC errors?

Post by BloodAngel »

How does one fix a cyclic redundancy check error? My external hard drive is giving me this on some files when I try to copy them, and I really don't feel like saying goodbye to them yet...

I tried checkdisk, and as of yet it hasn't given me an error. Same with physical disk check.

This might help, give it a shot anyway:

fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1
Someone asked me yesterday if Dracula met Saruman and there was a fight, who would win. I just looked at this man. What an idiotic thing to say. I mean really, it was half-witted. - Christopher Lee

Neither work. :?

Perhaps this may be a good time to give SpinRite a try...though it's going to be one huge clusterfuck to hook the drive up to an IDE cable.

Oh well, thanks anyway.
