Nobilis RPG - any thoughts?

Once upon a time...

I and my friend were in a local gaming shop (coincidentally at the same time - I had just left the library, he was going to a tutor class or something, and we met each other in the store) and we noticed a cool-looking RPG game called Nobilis. We checked it out and the basic premise seemed somewhat good (it reminded me somewhat of In Nomine), but since it was bloody expensive, we didn't buy it, although our curiosity was aroused.

I've Googled some opinions about that game and they have been positive. However, has someone from SDNet played that game or had any other contact with it (read the book)? I don't like the idea of spending over 50 euros on a game which I end up not liking.

I bought it, played it extensively and I consider it one of the best RPGs I've played.

The feel of the game is a bit like In Nomine, but the relationship between the factions are far more complex and both the Game Master and the players are far more free. Also, with the one book you have everything you need to play.

On the downside, it takes some time to grasp it properly, so the first couple of times it is a bit hard to run...

The feeling of the game is a lot like Neil Gaiman's Sandman and American Gods or Roger Zelazny's Jack of Shadows and Lord of Light
