Loading time from hell


i though that the loading time at the beginning of GTA III was painful....

They had the Benny Hill music, why couldn't they have sped up the video? Argh!

That's pretty absurd, the game went to a 10 second cutscene for another minute of loading, geeze.

six and a half minutes to get into a game from power on.. That's just rude.

At least they were considerate enough to keep displaying the logo of the game on the loading screens. So you wouldn't forget which game you went to go play 5 minutes ago.

Wow. That was incredible. I can't believe I watched all 6 minutes.

I think I would have gone insane . I was even skipping bits and found it all but intolerable to keep sitting there.

Sod that, I'm gonna go and get my Spectrum back out of retirement, it'll take less time to load up.

Heh wont be buying that game soon. And all that for a WWE game?

I thought GTA:LCS had a really long loading time. I was wrong. Sorely wrong.

You deserve long loading times if you're a wrestling fan.

ANYTHING with the Benny Hill theme playing in the background is hilarious be default. I normally laugh at wrestling fans anyway, but with a game they spent so much on taking so long to load and to that music, it's hysterically bad.

Heh, it probably runs on the Bubble System and needs to warm up, or something. And yes, the use of the Benny Hill theme is great, but it loses major points for using that fucking O RLY? owl. That thing was getting old before it even started.

The startup time for SimCity 4 on my computer is even longer than that. I estimate that last time I played, it took about ten minutes. But, that's probably becuase of my computer, or all the plugins I had for it, rather than the game itself.

Mother of God! What the hell is wrong with these people? How is that acceptable?

Fool! I have time to dig out my Gameboy and start playing Advance Wars while waiting for Half-Life 2 to finish loading.

This is why the PSP will fail in the end.
