CORE mod for HoI2

Has anyone else here played with this mod? For those who don't know, it's like a realism mod for the WW2 era.
I got CORE with my edition of HoI1, and grew to love it more than the first game it gave it all sorts of longetivity. Though with this edition, the game gets completely turned on it's head.
Now there all sorts of odd things with industrialised nations/semi industrialised nations and seemingly every army unit in the USSR being a reservist.
I've just played as the USSR for about half an hour, it looks like now there will be something resembling the party purges and show trials.
