Get a Free Flash Drive from Microsoft

The answers are 2, true, true, true. I don't have any use for another flash drive, but I thought some people here might like one.

Really? One slash seems to work fine for me under IE6, Opera, and Firefox. The confirmation e-mail also leads back to profile.microsoft.com.Matt Huang wrote:Um, call me paranoid, but why are there two slashes between ".com" and "windowsxp"?
Something else that raised alarms in my head was that typing in the webaddress with only one slash inbetween ".com" and "windowsxp" givves me a 404-error (albet wrapped up in Microsoft dumbed-down speak).

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

What, haven't you ever sent in proofs of purchases plus shipping and handling for something from a cereal box before?Soontir C'boath wrote:6-8 weeks, my god is Microsoft really behind the times.

Yes, that's why I said they're behind the times. Mail-in toys from cereal boxes was back in the days of youth and I ain't no kid no more.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:What, haven't you ever sent in proofs of purchases plus shipping and handling for something from a cereal box before?Soontir C'boath wrote:6-8 weeks, my god is Microsoft really behind the times.

So how long do you think it'll be till we realize they're ROM drives?

OK, ethics.
I have a Half.com account. I have sold textbooks on it. Do you think that makes it ethically OK for me to use that to get one of these?

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Damn Microsoft and their lack of international support!
As a warning to those outside of North America, you apparently can't get it.

You're having a moral quandry over a free POS flash drive?Joe wrote:OK, ethics.

You could say that you work for...
Wolfram & Hart
Cyberdyne Systems
Umbrella Coroporation
Omni Consumer Products
Weyland-Yutani
...and it wouldn't matter, it's not like the Feds will hunt you down for fraud over a free gift from a promotional stunt
Call it Catholic Guilt. I may not be a Catholic anymore, but I still retain the pervasive, gnawing sense that what I'm doing is not morally right for several situations that would be innocuous by normal standards. You're having a moral quandry over a free POS flash drive?

I can't imagine it'd be any more than 128MB. Possibly 256, but considering how cheap the average 128 is, that's most likely. (Either that, or smaller).Praxis wrote:It doesn't matter if you put in a real company or not, correct?
How big is the flash drive? Anyone know?
