Get a Free Flash Drive from Microsoft

Post by Exonerate »

The answers are 2, true, true, true. I don't have any use for another flash drive, but I thought some people here might like one.

Awesome. Here's hoping that "FelgerCo" gets a shiny new flash drive in the coming 6-8 weeks.

Um, call me paranoid, but why are there two slashes between ".com" and "windowsxp"?

Something else that raised alarms in my head was that typing in the webaddress with only one slash inbetween ".com" and "windowsxp" givves me a 404-error (albet wrapped up in Microsoft dumbed-down speak).
Really? One slash seems to work fine for me under IE6, Opera, and Firefox. The confirmation e-mail also leads back to profile.microsoft.com.

Soontir2432 is technically a company/organization, right? It's an ebay account that sells items for the benefit of me... :)

What, haven't you ever sent in proofs of purchases plus shipping and handling for something from a cereal box before? :P

Yes, that's why I said they're behind the times. Mail-in toys from cereal boxes was back in the days of youth and I ain't no kid no more. :P

OK, ethics.

I have a Half.com account. I have sold textbooks on it. Do you think that makes it ethically OK for me to use that to get one of these?

Damn Microsoft and their lack of international support!

As a warning to those outside of North America, you apparently can't get it.

You're having a moral quandry over a free POS flash drive?

You could say that you work for...

Wolfram & Hart
Cyberdyne Systems
Umbrella Coroporation
Omni Consumer Products
Weyland-Yutani

...and it wouldn't matter, it's not like the Feds will hunt you down for fraud over a free gift from a promotional stunt

It didn't stop me when I told it to ship to New Zealand.

Oh well, guess we'll see.

Call it Catholic Guilt. I may not be a Catholic anymore, but I still retain the pervasive, gnawing sense that what I'm doing is not morally right for several situations that would be innocuous by normal standards.

I can't imagine it'd be any more than 128MB. Possibly 256, but considering how cheap the average 128 is, that's most likely. (Either that, or smaller).
