Post by thecreech »

Ok i was wondering if any of you know of a good online shop that has a great selection of videogame soundtracks. Specificly i am looking for a soundtrack for the xbox game Otogi myth of Demons. It has one of the best fucking soundtracks i have ever heard for a videogame. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, Otogi has never recieved a soundtrack release.

Were there any other games in particular you were looking for?

A good question. Everybody knows about the soundtracks to the latest console anime/rpg titles out there, but anyone check out Mame history? About half the games out there it seems from the 80's to the present had sound tracks released... it's quite amazing. I've never seen a single one of these "limited edition soundtracks" anywhere that I can think of. If only I knew where to get them! Unless these were just things that were handed out at some release party or something.

About the only one I remember seeing an ad for was the Mortal Kombat II CD advertised in the game's attract mode, come to think of it.
fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1

Well some game soundtracks are easy to find. I've seen soundtracks for Halo 2, Advent Rising, and Kingdom Hearts at my local Wal-mart.

Good place to purchase legit video game music not available domestically.

(Like anime soundtracks, video game soundtracks suffer from lots of piracy.)

Yeah, it's the old arcade stuff I'm interested in, specifically. Thanks, I'll take a look... *I sounded like the Crazy Taxi announcer just then*

I want the soundtrack to X-Men Legends II just for the damn Madri Temple stage. That had some kicking tunes

If you decide to buy a Kingdom Hearts soundtrack, definitely go for the Kingdom Hearts 2 soundtrack. It has a cooler "Dearly Beloved" track, the three versions of "Passion" kick ass, and the tracks performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra are just pure musical crack. The rest is pretty mediocre, but that was also true of the first Kingdom Hearts OST.
