After the discovery itunes turns my computer into a slug i've decided to change my audioplayer.
I tried Winamp, which for some reason screwed up my ability to playback videos on the net.
At the moment im using windows mediaplayer, but i have never liked this bit of software, anyone got any suggestions?

I use Winamp for music (mainly because you can make it play folders and leave it in the system tray) and MPC for video.
which for some reason screwed up my ability to playback videos on the net.
Try reinstalling the browser plugins for the video type that got screwed up (either QT or WMP).

I use amaroK, but good luck getting it to work on Windows. Far better than iTunes anyway, so I could only recommend Winamp really.

I use foobar. It uses very low resources and can play pretty much any format.

When you installed Winamp, did you make sure to unselect the file associations while it was installing? Selecting it to be the default player for video as well as audio files could fuck stuff up. (All I ever use winamp for is audio, myself). However, other utilities I can recommend:
Foobar2000 Simple media player interface with playback capabilities for virtually every audio format, including lossless files.
QCD Player Similar in interface to Winamp, but generally a bit more flexible.
