Apple USB keyboards on PC?

I know it's a stupid question, but do Apple USB keyboards work with PCs? I love the Apple keyboards, but since their site doesn't expressly say it works on anything with a USB port I figured I'd ask. :)

It should, I think.

I'm pretty sure they do.

I wonder what happens to all the apple-specific keys like F13-15 and the apple key?

They make random nearby animals explode.

Except for the Apple key. Do not EVER press the Apple key while using a PC.

I guess I'll have to buy one and find out then! :P

I was at a LAN the other day, the guy with the apple keyboard couldn't get it to work. The microsoft mouse plugged in through the keyboard's usb port worked although it did take a while to pick it up.

It *should* work I would think, my only question is what the Apple key will do.

My guess, if it does work is that the apple key would be mapped to the windows key.

I also see no reason for the keyboard not to work, although it may take some doing, like looking for device specific drivers.

I hear you can use the registry to perhaps remap keys. Do the current Apple keyboards have a 'printscreen' button? I like screencaps. :)

I dunno, but you can then remap F13, F14, F15, Eject, or the brightness settings to that if it doesn't. I never looked.

In my keyboard, which is a windows one that also works with macs, has the apple key mapped to the windows alt key, and the option key mapped to the windows "open start menu" key. The question is why you would want to use an apple keyboard when microsoft and logitech media keyboards are dirt cheap nowadays and have a lot better features.
