Ars technica has a VERY intresting article on the new Core architecture, I reccomend anyone intresting in hardware read it

I'm really interested to some shipping product benchmarks for the Conroe processor. It performs as well as Intel claims, my next machine might just have one (with 1033MHz RAM and G80s!). The Kentwood (IIRC) looks processing as well, but with four cores its probably going to be extremely expensive.

All-in-all, the Core architecture looks to be a very good answer to AMD.
