A good 8-port or around that number router. Any suggestions?

Perhaps's it'd be cheaper to purchase a standard consumer 4-port router/switch, and add additional switches as needed?

Stick a switch in your existing router?

I could add a switch, but that runs the risk of clogging up the little connection center niche that all the connections run to. Right now it's got a 4-port router and a little hub/switch, and both are suspended midair by the cables themselves, which won't be good in the long run I think.

Anyway, a good 8-port router. Any suggestions?

A Linksys BEFSR81 router with 8-point switch costs about $100, MSRP, although Amazon lists them for about $80.

We've had a Linksys 4-point router since last year when we got our DSL connection, and haven't had any sort of problems with it whatsoever, other than figuring out how the hell it worked when we first set it up...

A Linksys EZXS88W switch is listed at $70 CND, the BEFSR81 router at $130. Depending on how anal your ISP is, you may want to spend the extra cash for the router, as it only shows one IP to the outside world.
