My computer is displaying everything sideways...

Man, it's a bitch to type like this.
So anyway, my computer is randomly displaying everything turned 90 degrees to the left instead of the way it's supposed to. This is, as you can probably imagine, annoying as hell. All I tried to do was use the task manager and it just went bonkers. Any ideas?

Check your Display Properties and if your screeen has any adjustment buttons on it immediately look at what those do. Those are the two most obvious answers.

Its funny, but my two Tablet PCs can both adjust their screen orientation with the touch of an external button. As a result, I occassionally find myself briefly looking at a sideways display while it switches over.

I assume they're work ones, as I can't imagine anyone sane forking out for two tablet PCs (or even one for that matter).

I sometimes use rotation for easier reading (dimensions more like a paper page) from my laptop when in bed.
As far as tablets go, from my usage of them (had one borrowed for a couple of days), they need to be built stronger. Don't know if that is the case with all of them, but the one I used had the feel of a standard cheap laptop. That isn't a problem with them, since you use them almost always either with them set up on a table or, at worst, in your lap while sitting down, while the tablets are supposed to be more mobile. They should be built to take a (resonable) fall or two. They also need to be more capable hardware wise. Having hours of battery life is nice, but with the crappy processors most of them have doing anything a bit complex takes time - not something you like when you buy a very overpriced computer.
I like the handwriting recognition, even if it still is at a gimmicky stage.

I'm fucking outraged that the first reply wasn't one telling him to flip his monitor sideways.
