Short and sweet, an Asus A8N-SLI Premium. Not sure if the CMOS died due to virus or something else.

Right now system boots up to either nothing(No boot) or boots to a update Bios screen. When I update the BIOS it fails 9/10 times in random places when updating the flash memory.

Once I got into the BIOS screen but after updating my BIOS and starting windows the computer starts the bad BIOS cycle agian. What are my options?

Well, the cheapest thing to do would be to replace the CMOS battery, because it cause errors if its crapping out. But, given what you described, it think your CMOS is dead. I don't remember if you can replace the CMOS or not (and really I should know, I just moved my A8N to a new case yesterday). If it can be replaced, Asus might send you a chip - if you can ever get a hold of a tech...

The BIOS chip is usually located in a socket, instead of soldered to the board. Call Tech Support, they might be able to help. Maybe.
