I have searched, and have not found, any reference on this forum to this freeware iTunes replacement. Therefore, I submit for your approval this link.

It has drag 'n' drop functionality for the iPod, which is what caught my attention, and I have successfully used it.

Enjoy it, but with the usual precautions (such as backing up the stuff on your device first).

Bah. It crashes when it tries to connect

I use amaroK for all my music now, but it doesn't surprise me that there are more iTunes replacements.

Pah, that's nice and all, but what I'd really like is an iTunes replacement that's not such a memory hog, but still allows you to connect to others' libraries, and vice versa.

I don't see any problem at all in just using iTunes-I use it on all of my computers (one of the advantages of owning your own firm is you can jam at work without fear of reprisal), and I don't even have an iPod. Apple is too dependent on using iTunes as a publicity tool and as a means of drawing traffic to its Music Store to do anything stupid with it (i.e. Sony style), so I'm just not at all worried about having it on my computer.

My problem with iTunes is that I just hate the interface. I like being able to drag and drop the files I want onto the iPod, without having to go through the iTunes-related stupidity to get there. Maybe I'm just not using it right. Anyways, so far I like this freeware better, and since you don't have to install anything you can go to any computer, run the file and access your iPod.
