speaker problem

I have a logitech z5500 for my computer (for those of you who haven't heard of it, it is a 5.1 system.) Last night it was working fine, but today when I powered it on to listen to something I didn't get any sound. I checked my connections and nothing has been moved. I also checked the connection my Xbox and got no sound there either so I know it is not a problem with my computer. When it's powered on or the input is switched, it says 'detecting' for a much longer time than usual. But no sound.
I pressed the test key on the remote, which normally outputs pink noise on each speaker so you can isolate problems. Only thing is, I only hear pink noise coming out of the sub. When I turn the testing off the sub makes a loud 'thump'.
So, I'm at a loss as to what I should do. I doubt it's still under warranty as I got it Christmas '04. Any ideas?
