These two games, IMO, were a good showcase of what Wii could do, on top of excellent artistry. I'm still hoping for the final dev kits to have 2002 tech, but if not, I could say that I am satisfied with how things are shaping up.

Mario Galaxy looked fantastic on the HDTV, btw. I don't think anyone has to worry about Wii games looking bad on an HD display unless the upscaler is piss.

I loled

SD content shouldn't look any worse on an HDTV. If the TV set is playing sillybuggers with the signal and converting it to a higher resolution, it might artifact, but a decent set should just drop to displaying at a native SDTV resolution.

I've had my megadrive plugged into my HDTV and it looked good, not to mention last-gen consoles like the PS2 and Gamecube. (Still want to get a new Dreamcast to hook it into the VGA port, but mine died a sad and much lamented death)

As a band nerd, I am actually interested in the game where you conduct a Symphony. I've always wanted to get up on the podium, but will probably never get a chance in real life. This, if done right, can be an amazing display of artistry.

Man, if Flash works out that the Rev will have, like, Guitaroo-man style games with strumming, he'll EXPLODE.

Red Steel Trailer

Everything about that game kicks ass, plain and simple.
