If I understood correctly, damage is realisticly modeled. So no worries there.Stark wrote:If they don't destroy buildings by shooting it with rifles, it'll be BETTER than GC1.
I'm not sure, they havn't said anything about that. I'll be trying to get into the beta(I was in the Ground control 2 beta) or atleast pop off a question.AniThyng wrote:How about combat ranges and probability of hits though? How realistically will they be modeling that?
Could be a large explosion, the other nuclear explosion in the trailer was too short to see anything other then the explosion.Uraniun235 wrote:That's supposed to be a nuke?! It didn't even knock over any of the trees!
Pretty sure it's just a very large bomb. They make mushroom clouds too, you know.Uraniun235 wrote:That's supposed to be a nuke?! It didn't even knock over any of the trees!
It looks too big to be a very large bomb. Perhaps it's a small tac-nuke like the Davy Crocket? But I'm not too familiar with how much damage high yeild bombs and low yeild bombs are supposed to do.Beowulf wrote:Pretty sure it's just a very large bomb. Ace Pace said "I can confirm the nuclear explosion is even more impressive in realtime" which led me to believe that the screencaps shown included a nuclear explosion.Adrian Laguna wrote:It looks too big to be a very large bomb. It only takes out a small cluster of buildings; why is that too big for a conventional bomb?Adrian Laguna wrote:It looks too big to be a very large bomb. Umm link to the trailer?Ace Pace wrote:Ah....pretty HD quality trailer.
I can confirm the nuclear explosion is even more impressive in realtime.
You know, this might be finaly a sequal to Ground Control in terms of gameplay.
Uh...seems gamespot took that movie down and with the movie being 70MB, it'll be complicated for me to upload.Kamakazie Sith wrote:

I'm not trying to say that chemical explosives couldn't cause that much destruction, just that the United States doesn't have any conventional bombs that big at the time of the game (late 80s). Up until very recently, I don't think the US had anything larger than 2000 lb, because if you needed something bigger you might as well use a tac-nuke. Can a two-thousand pound bomb do that?Darth Wong wrote:It only takes out a small cluster of buildings; why is that too big for a conventional bomb?Adrian Laguna wrote:It looks too big to be a very large bomb.
