What Is On The CD?

All CDs currently contain version 6.06 LTS, development codename "Dapper Drake". For every CD you order, we will send you one package that contains a single CD (live CD installer) in a cardboard wallet. This is true for all architectures.

I hadn't seen this before. It's certainly tempting.

It's also very old, since Canonical Ltd. have been doing this ever since Shuttleworth started them up. Personally, I download since I have DSL, but if you want to get a school or business interested in Ubuntu/Kubuntu/XUbuntu, then ordering discs is a good way (just don't waste them like AOL discs).

I'm still on Breezy. Is upgrading to DD worth it?

Not until the public release is out. It's still beta.
