I'm tempted to set aside 50GB and try it out.

The site appears to be badly overloaded at the moment

DL
Direct link to 32-bit version, which is apprently working better then the 64-bit one, atleast in compatability.

Yeah, the 64-bit version is incredibly anal about what software and drivers it'll allow you to install. It should eventually turn out to be a far more stable platform than the 32-bit version, but it's going to suck for early adopters.

I'm going to give it a shot. I can get both Graphics and Sound drivers, so I guess I'll just have to see. I always have XP to fall back to if necassary.

Hm, the 32-bit version download keeps aborting as soon as it starts - I can only get the 64-bit version. I guess now I'm about to find out just how good an idea it was to get a Turion over a Pentium M.

Fuck Creative and their shitty driver support. It's been released for several weeks now, and their last Vista driver update is from the beginning of November 2005, which doesn't work.
And also fuck my secondary monitor, and a slowly dying capacitor which is causing it to take about 5 minutes for it to turn on.
