Haven't mentioned this, but for a while I've had two choices- DVD drive or hard drive. I only just got around to doing the necessary work (Removing case tags, etc) to let me mount both (Until now they were sitting out on my desk). Then, you know what I discover? Only one of the fuckers works.

This pisses me off greatly, since I know they both work fine. So I test and I test and finally, I come to the conclusion that I just need another ribbon cable since the second slot on the one I'm using has burnt out. So, good news for me, I just need to go into the outside world in the next week or so and pick one up!

At last I can install things to my tertiary drive from the disc.

And now for your 4:41 AM update. The one that previously worked isn't now, so I'm a right royal fuck up and I should never do anything with my computer at 1:30 AM after getting only 4 hours of sleep.
