Phew. Glad to see it's not out in limbo, and they've made real changes to their plans to try and eliminate potential frustrations, while the core game itself is showing improvement (like AI).

Oooh, a game based on The Roadside Picnic. Sweet.
Have a very nice day.

One day, it might even come out. ONE DAY.

So it would seem. In the meantime, however, you can
read the novel.
Have a very nice day.

I read the preview of this in PC Gamer last year sometime, and I've been looking forward to it ever since. It was originally, and very optimistically, set for January this year methinx, but obviously its on the slippery slope of slippage now, lets just hope it doesn't end up joining DNF in the vaporware department.

You're far too pessimistic, Lazarus.

That's what DNF will do to you, its just like waiting for a bus. Except its a really good bus. Maybe.
My analogies are just the best.

So, according to this theory, both DNF and this will come at the same time?

I swear, this is going to become another Oblivion- Constant, mind numbing need to have it and the ever present possibility of a delay.
Or Spore, where no one has no idea when exactly it'll be ready.

Well, will wright said that this E3 was the last for spore and it should come out first quarter 2007. There aren't a lot of people i'd trust on their word in the videogame industry, but Will Wright is definitely amongst them.

So what if he's trustworthy? That just means he isn't knowingly lying when he says it will be out Q1'07, it doesn't mean he's right. Personally, I don't pay much attention to release dates anymore. I think I made a thread in early January talking about all the great games that were coming out in the first half of '06. Except for Oblivion and Hitman: Blood Money, none of them are out. I'm starting to think it's a good rule of thumb to tack 6 months onto any stated release date.
