Scraped Connectors on Memory Card

So, I have a memory card that stopped working. Curious as to why it stopped, I opened it up and discovered that the connector plates, which connect to my system, a PS2, have been scraped down slightly, which makes me presume that it's simply not transferring any electricity. Now, I was curious if there was any way to fix the fix the problem so I could keep using the card, instead of purchasing a new one.
