I came across this 3-minute preview video for Medieval II Total War earlier. It's 1280x720 resolution, an approximately 100 MB download. If this is a repost or old news I expect this will get locked promptly. Looks pretty cool, the interface looks a lot like R:TW.

That was actually pretty good :) though they should have used a Brit for the narritive, the Ozzie who was doing that sounded abit too nasal for my liking

There also seemed to be a touch of Kiwi in that accent.

If they are the in game graphics, I just may have to go out and get a brand new computer. :D

Wow, the animations have been improved greatly compared with Rome. Did anyone notice a rather low framerate when it was giving an overview of the battles in the latter part of the video? I wonder just how performance hungry it is.

*shivers with delight*

Wow. I was annoyed that it showed an army attacking a Byzantine city but when it went to the battle couldnt' see any damn Byzantine units. I want to know what they look like, dammit!

I hope they make more changes to the campaign interface to make it more distinct from RTW; otherwise, it looks more like an expansion. I'm still curious as to why there are two 'Army' tabs in the campaign interface. Also, as a side note, prisoner captures are back in vogue.

I was thinking about the two tabs as well, maybe one of those is The Garrison tab and the other is the Going-To-Kick-Your-Arse tab? Or, its a fluff up

Sorry to double post (think i've found it). I loved watching the two handed swordsman owning the other guy. I love watching the fighting, the fighting animations look excellent.

Soo... the footage with the troops like two-handsmen and halbards slicing down on the enemy is real combat playing!

Now that is totally awesome.

And apparently they can build up momentum. IE. When they start to own they can build up momentum. Regardless it beats the slightly broing combat of RTW (relatively).

As a rule, I only put the leaders to death- unless I'm fighting the Muslims, when I put all of them to the sword. No quarter. Kill them all- God will know his own ....
