Rome keeps telling me I've already patched to v1.2 when I haven't. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times, and I haven't found the registry key that insists I'm already at v1.2. Any ideas?

Isn't Rome up to a much later patch?

It sure is, but the 1.3 patcher dies in the ass when I start it. Something is seriously wrong with the Rome install I don't have.
