I have just got a new AMD 3800+X2 AM2 processor and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with any of the virtualisation software available. ie Xen.

I'd like to know what opinions are, what works, what doesn't, have you found it worthwhile?

If you are wondering why I have an AM2 instead of a Core 2 Duo, it was given to me for free.

VMWare works well though don't expect lightning performance inside the virtual machine.

Does VMWare even support hardware virtualization ?

I have seen a screenshot where they were running a windows OS inside XEN (one of the hardware-virt. capable systems).
