I've recently got back into San Andreas after breaking the game to get past the mission I was stuck on, and this time round intend to finish it. However, i'm now very bored of the music, so how do I use the user track player? All the readme effectively says is 'you can play you're own music if you want'.

If it's the same as VC, look for a folder named "MP3" or likewise in the base SA folder.

Make a shortcut of an MP3 (don't know if it'll play other formats) and put it into My Documents -> GTA San Andreas User Files -> User Tracks. Then go into the game, the options menu, and finally the audio section. In there should be something about refreshing the MP3 playlist (along the bottom right of the screen if memory serves). Hit that, let it do it's thing, then hop in a car and flip to the MP3 Player station (or whatever it's called just after WCTR).
That should do it.

Talk about overengineering a simple system...whatever happened to "drop the files in the folder and switch to the player station"?

Yeah, RI, Bounty's instructions pretty cover all you have to do.

In the 'GTA San Andreas User Files' folder ther is a folder called 'User Tracks'
Put MP3's or MP3 shortcuts in there

Thanks guys, I was looking in Program Files, rather than My Documents.

Another problem, I've forgotten the button that tells allies to get into you're car, its essential for a mission and it isn't in the manual...

Try using whatever the horn button is.

Because I'm far too used to that sort of thing than I should be?

The horn seems to do bugger all, and its the riot level, so it kind of seems to attract rioters who pull me out the car...

You can only recruit gang members into your "posse" on foot, so you'll need to get out of the car, target them (RMB by default), and press G or H to recruit them. They should then follow you into the car when you get in.
