Has anyone else looked through the stuff on the new expansion and the trailer for it as of yet? The trailer is downloadable at http://www.guildwars.com/

I haven't looked at the trailer yet, but I've played during the PvP weekend. The new professions will definitely be interesting... moreso than the Assassin and Ritualist from Factions.

I missed the PvP weekend but I hope the core classes get some new usefull spells/skills. PvP is to warrior centric at the moment. Especially the elementarist needs a boost. Their offensive capabilities are easily interupted or negated. Even in PvE their offensive capabilities have been greatly reduced by the AOE nerf. At the moment necromancers & rangers skills are the big damage dealers in PvE and warrior skills in PvP.

Wait, my primary char is desirable in PvP now? Kick ass. Now if only they'd do something about parties spamming 'GLF MONKS!' in the god damned quests.

IF you primary char is a warrior then the answer is yes.

W/E , W/R and R/W are the main class combos used for warrior types in PvP. It is possible to reach the hall of heroes with 8 warriors. One good thing is that they nerfed the Edge of Extinction skill. This was the GW equivallent of a tactical nuclear weapon. Elementarist are typically forced into the support role in PvP.

Out of these the W/R and the R/Mo would be most usefull. W/R could be used to make a IWAY , VIM or Bunny build. The R/Mo could be used for a crippling shot , interrupt or trapper build. The E/Me is their a member of a ele spike team or a mesmer powered by ether prodigy. A free PvP slot is always usefull if you want to do PvP. PvP characters get some nice stuff and start at level 20.
