Firefox issues

Ok I installed Mozilla Firefox and have one real big question. How the hell do I get it to copy and paste. It says something about an error and I must configure it to allow that function. However on this website I can copy and paste no problem.

The reason I need this is my online class the questions are to be typed in an editor and pasted to the website.

I followed the directions given on
link
but it doesn't work. Especially since that file didn't exist and I had to create it.

'ctrl+c'==copy
'ctrl+x'==cut
'ctrl+v'==paste

for mac, substitute the apple key for ctrl.

also, copy, cut and paste should be supported by the 'right-click' context menu as well.

it may be necessary to enable (or disable) keyboard text selection (it should work without changing this setting, but sometimes you need to toggle it)
go to:
tool>>options>>advanced
and check (or uncheck if checked) the box labbeled 'enable keyboard text selection'

if nothing else works, try reinstalling. If that doesn't work, search for an extension that enables copy,cut,paste functionality (shouldn't need to though)

Try 'NoScript'. The vast majority of disallowing C+P is done with Javascript, detectable as a snooty dialog box coming up when you right-click saying to the effect "Achtung! Right-Click Ist Verboten!"

Yup pretty much thats what it does but only on certain website. Mainly my school BB. Http://erau.blackboard.com. I can post there but once I log into in get into the discussion board I can paste in the subject field but when I try and post in the message body is when that annoying dialog comes up.

And whats with the noscript I know very little about Javascript.

Ghetto Edit, yeah, blackboard runs on Java, so noscript will fix you up right.
You might have some trouble logging in theough, so disable it until you need to copy&paste.
