GameStop, EB Games take PlayStation 3 pre-orders

Well, it seems that the PS3 does, in fact, exist and that people will try to sell it.Reuters wrote:LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - GameStop and EB Games on Tuesday began accepting a limited number of pre-orders for Sony Corp.'s (6758.T: Quote, NEWS, Research) (SNE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) PlayStation 3 console, the video game retailers said on their Web sites.
"Due to extremely limited supply, we expect to deplete this allocation very quickly, most likely in minutes," GameStop said on its site.
Indeed, sales representatives from five GameStop and EB Games stores in the Boston area said they had already gone through their pre-order quotas of roughly 15 consoles each.
A spokesman for Grapevine, Texas-based GameStop Corp. (GME.N: Quote, Profile, Research), which owns both store chains, was not immediately available for comment.
