I don't know what that fuck that means man. If it's something different then debunk. Bleh. :P I'm just saying, that in the movies it seemed to be beam/energy type weaponary and in the cartoons, they show them arcing.

You will also observe that in CW, they are pulses and not beams. That in and of itself should clue you in to the possibility that it is a different type of weapon.

It should be noted that the model name SPHA-T stands for "Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery - Turbolaser". Nowhere is it stated that this is the only type of SPHA platform. There may be other forms of SPHA, such as an SPHA-IC (ion cannon) or SPHA-MD (mass-driver) or whatever.

The SW databank, and IIRC, ICS both states that there are multiple configurations of the SPHA, ranging from missiles to blaster cannons. SPHAT just happens to be the most powerful type.

It appears to be a configurable SPG. Mobility, firepower, direct support to combat units and even air units. Ditto about the armour though.

Actually, it is canonical that there are SPHA-I (ion cannon), SPHA-L (laser cannon, anti-armor), SPHA-C (concussion missile).

There *shouldn't* be a noticeable arc, light has basically no mass.

Which would mean something if they were lasers.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

They are massless particles, though. Not lasers, but still massless.

Ok, I remember this idea coming up before and beign rejected, but I don't remember why: could part of it be a kind of rigid projected field that would keep it suspended for X distance before it started to bend to gravity, and the distance before bending play a role in range? It could explain why somethimes shots act like beams and others like bolts from the smae weapons.
