In answer to how many worlds where in the Dune Imperium i remember the figure of 1,000,000 worlds being mentioned ib one of the prequals, however anything in the prequals is suspect IMHO.

You base this off what? We never saw the Sith Empire have their ships fire upon anything we could use to determine their power. The ship in KOTOR wasn't a ship of the Sith Empire and that bombardment is contradicted by the ICS which states that the technology level has been stagenet well before that time.

The Brotherhood of Darkness is not the Sith Empire.

Not that I don't want it to be true, but where does it say that?

Page 3, where it's stated that the 'basic attributes of starflight have remained constant' since the discovery of the hyperdrive.

The Imperium of Man from Warhammer could probably go tet-a-tet with the Empire, if they didn't have to fight off Chaos, Orks, Eldar, Necrons, Dark Eldar, Rogue Psykers, Heretics, Enslavers, Tyranids and god knows what other horrible beasties.

Personally I reacon a Great Crusade-era Imperium could trounce the Empire. But thats just MHO.

I reject the idea that it wasd Kahn and his followers who did it, based on the fact that he had only established his army of a little over a dozen followers in 6 months going by the story in Gamer #5. (it occurs 6 months prior to the battle of russan, and Kahn was just then calling up his forces). Insufficient time and people. Remember, Kun took years and had several armies and navies at his command along with a strategic weapon and had arranged the destruction of the Republic's fleet. And even he didn't do it.

I believe it is more likely that the remnants of the Sith Empire still survived and struck yet again and that Kahn and his group where the last of them following a large war that brought down the republic or at least triggered the reformation. This has some support because Geonosis and the Rim worlds mentions at least one world (Thule) that has been a haven for the remnants of the Sith Empire for thousands of years that the Sith have called upon.

Been debated. While their weapons have power, they have been so specialized for fighting one another for so long they would be much less effective agaisnt SW. Plus the numbers are on the Empire's side.

Oh I know its been debated, its more a personal preference.

Im more than aware of how insane the out-put of the Empire can be.

Power on the same general scale yes, but it's like more than 1:10 in the Empires favor in what a comparable sized ship can dish out.
