Boba has missiles
ROTJ shows several visuals which has to be missiles or bombs.
Boba is wearing his father's armor from the prequels.

Which visuals have to be missiles? I don't remember them is all.

We see a glowing object launched from a fighter that travels in a non-straight line towards a ship and explodes.

I believe there are more stuff like that too.

Yes but I'm differentiating Proton torpedoes/ concussion missiles with actual .... erm ... how to term it ...

ah yes

"smoky rocket motor missile tech"

as seen fired by LAATs and Seperatist droids.

Hmmmm, from what I recall, Lucas never said missiles would be obsolete in Ep 3 but said something about the missile TECHNOLOGY that we see in Ep2 will be obsolete by Ep3

I see no reason for them to become obsolete just because more advanced versions are aviable, it's the price/performance ratio that matters, also simplicity is a pro in itself.

A galactic empire can easily shoulder the cost of a more advanced missile. Especially during war times...when price usualy doesnt matter.

But why do such a moronic move when it's clearly not needed?

*shrugs*

All I've been doing is pointing out the possibilties- and showing that when the source says missiles, it means the kind shown in Ep 2.

Found something. Hmm its pretty bodgy actually:

"May 03, 2002; SW CELEBRATION, TFN Report: C-3PO will be played by Anthony Daniels, despite the fact that Lucas has bragged to him that Threepio does exist in the computer so he had better be good. Also the film will be rated PG and the rocket technology seen in Epsiode II becomes obsolete."

This is second hand methinks. TFN ... .

Espisode 1: The systems planned under Eisenhower for activation in the 1960s
Episode 2: The systems planned by Reagan
Episode 3: The current NMD program

::runs::
So what about the Prequels :D
I could rewrite this...

Episode 1: Nike Ajax (SAM)
Epsiode 2: Nike Hercules (better, nuke-tipped SAM)
Episode 3: Nike Zeus (early nuke-tipped ABM)
Episode 4: Spartan/Spring (workable nuke-tipped ABM)
Episode 5: Star Wars (bluff, super-ABM)
Episode 6: NMD (hit-to-kill ABM)

I didn't mean missiles as in Protons or Concussions. I meant the missiles as of LAATs and Hailfire Droids. I see them as related yet quite different fields.

Seems like it refers to ground weapons if weaponry, since we never saw much space battle in EP2 (unless you count Slave-1 and th eJedi Starfighter). AS I recall though, rockets are unguided.

"Rocket Technology" need not refer to weapons though. Maybe they refer to some kind of propulsion.

Given that quote is talking about one of the driod's the entrance before, it might very well be talking about R2D2's flight system for all we know.

Episode 1/2: A SAM that changes from male to female depending on the temperature of water splashed on it? ;)

That bit was debated here and shown to be the ball cockpit from the TIE we see shot down.

My personal interpretation would be that the rocket tech bit would be in reference to things such as the Tech Union's ships which use large engines to lift them off the ground. Thus far we have only seen repulsors used for takeoff on small ships such as fighters and transports . It could be we see a capital ship lift off from the ground on repulsors.

Then, after that, Al Gore gives a lecture on why the missile defense program is wrong, and it will be called Episode Zzzz.
