Post by Lord Revan »

Is the city-planet of Taris seen/heard in anywere else SW (apart of KOTOR). Also where is Taris located, what do you think?

Easy there killer, KotOR isn't that old (maybe for a game it is) and for it to be worked into other cannon you have to have books that came out after it, let alone someone actaully writting the word in a book.

As far as where it is, the map doesn't have it on there so...... but its part of some old trade route.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Game stories do count Knife...but the ultra low end(ie...if they get something wrong...that part is just thrown out as misinterpretation but the parts that are consistent are thrown in as offical.)

And you're right it could anywhere because no map, and the only thing you knew was it was once a major trading port.

Oh, I know it counts, but his OP wanted to know if it was anywhere else. Not many NEW sources have come out in the last year or so and even then, what has (don't know) would have been in development for a bit so having a piece of trivia from a game that may or may not have been out or popular durring the writting is probably low.

If at all, I would bet that in the next 'batch' he would have a better chance of seeing something from KOTOR mentioned in EU.

Very true.

Hopefully some mention because at least the Rakatan were interesting(even though dying out.......4000 years before SW)

Yup, finding a Rakatan stash would be cool and different from a Xim subplot.

Also, the uprising on Kyshyak (sp?) would be an interesting note. Someone from the OT going to Mannan, or maybe a mention of the Geoshean (sp?) bounty hunters.

A wink and a nod in that direction would be cool. Hell, after the YV invasion, someone finding and using the StarForge would make them a powerful son of a bitch.

I believe I heard theres going to be a Sith War time era book series like the NJO cut in half. So maby some things will revolve around Taris and the Rakatan. Taris was probally located on the Corellian trade spine, its one of the oldest trading route

Home planet of Xanatos, Qui-Gon's first apprentice. It's in the Jude Watson Jedi Apprentice series.
