I CAN'T PLAY TIE FIGHTER ON WIN XP!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Someone help. I refuse to go back to my old piece of crap Win 98 machine (which is in my brother's room now) to play it. And I'd have to move my joystick as well.

HELP! AGH!

XP does not incudled DOS, Get the WIN 95 Version or go back as a dual boot system

That's the problem dude! I HAVE the Win 95 version- the enhanced one that came in the box with the enhanced version of X-Wing- i.e. the one with X-Wing versus TIE Fighter graphics.

The enhanced version will not run under Windows XP's virtual DOS machine. Don't even try it. The old-school DOS edition will run, though it is ugly.

You could try running a virtual machine like VMWare or use an x86 emulator to create a "true DOS" environment.

Clarification: The Windows 95 and high-resolution DOS version will not run. The old 320x240 version will.
