If a small regional power (post Empire) wants to turn one ISD into a large missile cruiser (for some reason) by replacing most of the energy weapons, keeping anti-fighter weapons and maybe few dozen turbolaser batteries near the bridge tower. And adding hundreds of proton/concussion missile launchers throughout its hull, maybe a 50 on the dorsal starbord side and 50 on the opposite, and 50 on the ventral side and another 50 on the opposite. Having 200 missile tubes totally. (Maybe can squeeze in more)
I bet the ship would need escort.
The loading sequence might be a bitch, and the missiles stored onboard is also limited, but would an ISD turned into a missile cruiser be a good warship?

Not many klicks away then. But the missile cruiser's own shields would probably be battered badly by turbolasers when once it get to point blank range.phongn wrote:You could do it, but you'd need massive salvos at anything but point-blank range to penetrate and the ISD's hull isn't designed for that kind of thing, anyways.
How long does it normally take to reload a missile tube?

Why would they want to turn an ISD into a Torpedoe Sphere?
Those things were useless outside of planetary fights and massive fleet engagements

I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.
It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.
