I've noticed some things in the DVD release of Star Wars, that could be important in regard to technical debate.
ANH:
The fire sequence of the Death Star was altered. Now the beams shoot at the point where they meet one for one, and not in pairs. That the first single beam just stops just at the right place, is interesting if you consider weapons technology.
Changes were made to the explosion of the first Death Star:
-After split seconds, the Explosion and the rings become totally white.
I have no idea why they did that, but should't it make it the explosion and the debris much hotter?
-There is a blue shimmer surroundig the explosion.
I first thought it to be a bluescreen error, until I saw, that it wasn't there before, and saw the same blue shimmering in ROTJ (on the reactor and split seconds before DS2 explodes, on the DS2). Maybe it is a effect from the hypermatter?
ROTJ:
The green superlaserbeam is surrounded by yellow light while hitting the Calamari cruiser. Is that simply a error, or could it be important?
I'm curios, if that is important.
small DVD changes with maybe technical impact

Could be because it's a low-powered shot?
