Actually, Anakin had nothing to do with the victory at Naboo. Amidala and her security force had already captured the Viceroy and his advisors. The battle was effectively over. Him accidentally blowing up the control ship was just icing on the cake.

The Gungans still lost their battle regardless, which was my point when I thought the statement was in reference to the Gungan battle.

Well, the battle were to serve as a "diversion to draw the droid army away from the cities" as Amidala put it. The Gungans obviously must have known that they were facing a superior enemy and that they most likely would lose if the Droid Control Ship wasn't destroyed early on in the battle.

Ah...the FTiek is referring that unless Chewbacca gained the AT-ST...the Ewoks were in a rout in that battle.
True. But they did get the ST away from the bunker, thus allowing Leia and Han time to blow it.

And the Gungans got the droid army away from Theed so the Naboo could capture the viceroy. Doesn't change the fact that they were losing the battle, even if they were helping to win the war.

But the Endor victory was not the end of the war. The Ewoks alone did not win the battle, you're correct in that but they were vital part of the victory.

It was after becoming a regular internet user that lead me to dislike Jar Jar. Before I thought he was an ok character. The main problem with Jar Jar is he attempts comedy and fails badly. Same for the rest of the Gun Guns.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Thank you! Finally, someone with taste!

Gungans didn't need to be portrayed as drooling retards, yet they were. They didn't need to be incredibly annoying and fake looking, yet they were. George Lucas could have finally had his army of Wookiees or any other thing, but he chose comic relief that wasn't funny. So, you can say that they served as an ominous portent of the massive SUCK that the SW PT was to become. And that's all they did well.

Also, is it just me, or is anyone else disturbed by the high rate of Gungan cranial mutation?

What I mean is, Jar Jar has a flat, no-room-for-a-cerebellum cranium with eye-stalks adding height to his head, giving the impression that he doesn't actually have a brain-pan the size of a cat's. Boss Nass on the other hand has a full forehead and eye-sockets combination that might actually hide a brain. Other Gungans seem to have either eye-stalks or foreheads (if they are fat Gungans). What's going on? Is Gungan obesity linked to the mutant gene that gives gungans actual skulls?

Boss Nass is of a different race than Jar Jar. Nass' race is less common than that of the Gungan majority, but they make up a majority of the upper administrative class.
