If the two villains got into a battle who would win?

Combine both of your opinions into one post instead of double-posting. IMHO, Grievous would rip Durge a new asshole. As we saw in the Clone Wars cartoon, a lightsaber can damage Durge, and Grievous has four lightsabers to use at one like a big weed eater. All he'd have to do would be to go chainsaw-style on Durge then incinerate the pieces.
Why wonder why? The answer is simple: obviously, someone somewhere decided that he or she needed Baby Jesus up the ass.

Durge: Taken out by a single (albeit a good) Jedi, and some troops.

Grevious: Takes out 4 Jedi (that we see, if I remember correctly it is implied that he took out more) in short order.

Yeah, Durge looses big time, and while he's recooping Grevious tosses him in a container and drops him in the nearby star.

Actually he takes out 3 Jedi in one battle that we see (the Padawan, the alien with the big jaw, and the other human Jedi) and disables (as in unconscious) both Aayla Secura and Shak-Ti, and disarms the cone-head, though it is implied he killed Master Barak and other Jedi.

So 3 killed, 2 disabled, 1 disarmed, and several others possibly killed. In one battle. Woah.

Since we saw Durge could be cut with a saber, Grevious does his "saber spin" move and saws him clean in half. The end.

And he would have killed him all unless Ki-adi got damn lucky all the sudden if that gunship full of ARCs hadn't shown up.

Also upon closer examination of Episode 20 if you either go frame-by-frame or just look real close you can see that Greivous' hand holding a lightsaber enter the holo projection from Master Barrek's transmission.

i don't see how Durge could win. Greivous is out of his league. I mean Durge got beaten down by Obi-wan, who, though skilled, would be dominated by Greivous.

I don't know about that. I'm not privy to the spoilers, but if you pause at the right moment during the Episode 3 trailer you can spot Obi-wan fighting Grevious and apparently holding his own...

He didn't have a chance against Grevious because just before the clone troopers opened fire, you can see Grevious knock the saber out of Ki-Adi's hand and he's about to swing the final blow when the troopers appear.

That's why I said 'unless he got damn lucky all the sudden'. Grievous had him.

The latest volume of the Clone Wars Adventures comic features Asajj Ventress and Durge hunting for an intruder on Dooku's ship. Turns out to be Grievous, who proceeds to whup BOTH of them at the same time with little effort. So yeah, Grievous wins with no problem.

Ah, there's part of the answer again. During the Dooku training scene right after he uses the force to jerk Grievous' feet out from under him.

Isn't that from the Clone Wars cartoon? Chapter 22, just checked.

The Clone Wars cartoon leads up to Episode 3, so this occurred before and won't be in the movie.

Spoiler:

They fight. Grievous uses four sabres. Grievous reveals Dooku himself trained him in "your Jedi arts". Obi-Wan quickly destroys all four of his sabres. Grievous takes up a Magna Droid staff and knocks Obi-Wan's sabre from his grasp. Obi-Wan charges him as Grievous attempts to pull his blaster, and then knocks his blaster away. Grievous throws him back. Obi-Wan force pulls Grievous blaster, and shoots him repeatedly just as Grievous was about to ram the staff through him. Grievous is dead.

Supposedly in ROTS: from here.
