And I won't mention Ysalamiri. ;)
I never really had a problem with the Ysalamiri. They were a decent plot device, and I never thought they were over used or anything. My only beef is having to spell the word. :D

For some reason, I wouldn't be surprised if lunchmeat could stop the force.

damn you spanky, you stole my stupidest momment in Star Wars history comment. For those like me whos goal it is to read every SW adult novel, your going to have to read it but beware its kinda out there, which makes me wonder if Luke was on something, ....it sure would explain the cover

Well, the whole Darksaber novel was pretty whacked out if you ask me. I mean, the Hutts building a Death Star? What the hell kind of plot is that? There really was no point to that novel other than the initial gut reaction of, "oh my God! The Hutts are trying to build a Death Star!" Seriously, unless you're hellbent on conquering the damn galaxy, what the hell would you want a DS for?

The force power that Wankatine throws around is definitely ridiculous as well.

The Solo Luck is starting to get on my nerves a bit.....seriously, how many times should Han have been killed by now? 50? 100?

Then there's Admiral Daala raising hell with the entire New Republic using......4 twenty or thirty year old ImpStar ones? Huh? Seriously, if the NR is so fragile it can't handle a threat from 4 old Star Destroyers, than what's the point? This leads me into my next point of....

I'm sick of the EU constantly cooking up some token villan or plot device to threaten the entire existance of the Republic, which conveniently requires the OT heroes to give their all. Why can't the EU just have the Republic settle in, take care of some brush fires, and work in some new characters? Don't get me wrong, I love Luke, Han, Leia and the OT crew. But seriously, the EU really needs to pass the torch to new characters.

Thats what the NJO started to do. I would imagine this trend will continue in the next two series.
