So does that mean it's a canon/official site?

No. And I woundn't consider anything on the DVD beyond the actual movie canon or official either.

I'd hold off on that until we get something other than commentary. Because I can't see treating offhand comments as anything except official right now.

I don't know, maybe someone at Lucasfilm will point out the continuity disaster that comment creates within the EU and get GL to change his mind.

I don't see what the big deal is. His statement can just mean clones are the literary ancestors and conceptual parents of stormies. Stormies cannot be realistically clones, even from a canon purist point of view.

Holonetnews.net is official, actually.

I don't real have a problem with Stormtroopers being clones or the majority of them being clones. I haven't read much EU material and the little I have didn't deal with Stormtroopers.

I don't think anyone believes GE stormtroopers to be clones. Stormtroopers are supposed to be either conscripts or a volunteer force, since they are generally considered a more elite force than regular army troops. As an Earth-based analogy, we could compare stormtroopers to US Marines or perhaps even US Rangers.
