Remember that funny lookin creature that resembled Yoda in Episode 1, but actually looked like Yoda put through a blender? Well Lucas is finally going to do something about it....Check the "before & after" shots out at the link below:

Can this be confirmed anywhere else other than some website I've never heard of, and that actually provides some damn context or source?

MF.com seems silent on the topic, although as a non-member I can't access the DVD forum.

Wait, wait, wait: I think I've found its context. From a post on MF.com, concerning material for the RotS DVD:

Confirmed DVD Deleted Scene: "A Plot To Destroy the Jedi?"

Yoda, Mace and Obi-Wan scene in the Temple. "This scene contains some of the first Yoda animation to be completed for Episode III. Obi-Wan and Yoda discuss the strange shift in the Force as the galaxy continues to be consumed by darkness. It was cut from the film in March of 2004."

The Episode III DVD contains a snippet of test animation that replaced the Episode I Yoda puppet with the Episode III digital model.

Looks nice too.

So it was just part of semi-test footage for RotS, not for a future release of TPM. Nice that Fi-Sci.net didn't do any fucking research or just plain made up shit, or actually credit ZonaDVD for the original pictures. It takes a swell level of class for that kind of shit.

The source was a Spanish DVD site who was sent two test shots from ILM . Hence the reason there is no text.
Fi-Sci.net is a fairly new website and is growing in popularity very fast.

I check MF.com every 1-2 days anyway, so I would have found out about it anyway, just probably a couple of hours later, AND I would have gotten the information right the first time...

It's barely even news, anyway. Just a confirmation of the content of one of the deleted scenes on the RotS DVD.

Actully, I believe Rob Coleman (or some other ILMer) said ages ago they replaced all the Yoda-scenes in TPM with the ROTS-model as a test. So it'll probably be included on future releases.

And go easy on the guy, Spanky. If I can get away with pimping SW Wiki once in a while, surely he can pimp his site once? At least he gave us something.

anyways. before i looked at those pictures, ive forgotten how Yoda looks diffrent. It must have never botherd me that much that i didnt notice without comparing them. lol stoned yoda. Still the CGI Yoda still looks funny, his head is to much like a circle. What they have to do to get it right is make a mix of Stoned Yoda (EP I) to CGI Yoda (EP II III) and WAALLA you have Yoda (EP V VI)
