ISD Turret pics...
Can anyone provide links some pictures of ISDs that clearly show TL turrets? Not tiny protuberances on the hull, but clearly seen barrels...

Note that on the Devastator (ISD1), some of the barrels for the HTLs have fallen off because of wear and tear on the model.

Indeed...I thought they looked rather weird...but the aft-most turret is clearly larger and of a different shape from the rest...any explanations?Vympel wrote:Note that on the Devastator (ISD1), some of the barrels for the HTLs have fallen off because of wear and tear on the model.

Those are the heavy ion cannon turrets according to the original ICSkheegan wrote:Indeed...I thought they looked rather weird...but the aft-most turret is clearly larger and of a different shape from the rest...any explanations?Vympel wrote:Note that on the Devastator (ISD1), some of the barrels for the HTLs have fallen off because of wear and tear on the model.

The first 3 are HTLs. The last one is a HIC.

The Rogue Leader developers should have studied the ISD II model harder.

Pretty much every single EU source should have studied the models harder. Its VERY clear that there are 64 barels yet we are left with the 60 HTL number. The ISD-I is even worse.IRG CommandoJoe wrote:The Rogue Leader developers should have studied the ISD II model harder.

What do you mean by the ISD-I is worse? You mean in regard to firepower? Hell yeah. But I don't think you mean that. It's too obvious to be stated, and doesn't really relate to my post. I think you mean something else...so what DO you mean....eh? (Pokes CmdrWilkens with a stick as he says "eh," for emphasis.)

Hee hee. It looks like you're looking at just the pics from starship modeller. the perspective in those makes it look like there's only three 8-barreled turrets per side. check out the swtc pics, you can see that it's actually four per side. 2x4x8=64
The trench quad-guns are only on the ISD I.

I mean that the tats for the ISD-I repeatedly mention 60 regular TLs (whatever egular can be taken as) to be the armament of the ISD-I when we can clearly see the 6 VHTL turrets and the 2 HIC turrets. Those two armament types are NEVER mentioned in the EU sources with reference to the ISD-I. Heck such armament types are not mentioned period let alone in reference to the ISD-I.IRG CommandoJoe wrote:What do you mean by the ISD-I is worse? You mean in regard to firepower? Hell yeah.
