As cool as Amidala is, my heart belongs to Princess Leia. And it's not just because I grew up with her, and so was exposed to her before I was bold enough to talk to girls. She represents the Rebellion in Star Wars. She's strong without being pushy, smart, bold, and, most of all, beautiful. She's also untamed. Unlike Amidala, who ends up married off to Mr. Vader pretty quickly, Leia remains free and untrammeled. She may end up with Han at the end, but she's still her own woman.

Besides, metal bikini.

although leia was very unsexual in that outfit, which i think is just a matter of carrie fischer's unsexuality

she looked more hurt than anything in it, which fits i guess...

I always thought Kenel Taa was much cooler (except for the hand thing, but she was one of the only non whiny Jedi in the NJO who also were'nt complete dicks or screwups)

I'm going tp have to echo classic Mara Jade and Princess Leia. Noone else compares to those two.
