Well...
In an attempt to take my topic back I think I'm going to just decide to add a number of Immobilizers to the fleet.
Perhaps half-a-dozen or so sprinkled into the main fleet would be fine (for aesthetics) as it sounds like from the above debate a majority of the interdictors were deployed all around the edges of the system. I'm assuming that means there were a f*ckload of them.
So with that decided... what about the Victorys? Wookiepedia says there was atleast 3 there, can we also assume they were more numerous? Anybody with sources that give any kind of clue what the Imps would have assembled?
Also the other info I'm looking for is the best educated guess of how many Tectors to ISDs there were. Visually speaking if 10 or more of the 40 ISDs were if fact Tectors that would be fairly fabulous, but if people think the Imps only had the one that's fine as well. That's what I need to know.

Things in blue are decided.
===================
Executor (She's being built now. 1 2)
~40 Imperial Class SDs (Mark I & II)
1+ Tector Class SD
1 Imperial Communications Ship (Not sure what to use for this yet)
3+ Victory Class SDs (Mark I & II)
6 Immobilizer-418 Interdictors

...that's what I did.VT-16 wrote:Barring accusations of thread necromancy, couldn't you just continued on your old thread?
Then this thread appeared and GR's link to the old thread, which is why I asked what was going on in the second reply.
Any other inane questions?

Yeah, right. GR split to this thread just so he could accuse you of threadomancy again..knightwire wrote:ffs... If he's going to keep going on like that then please Ghost Rider, delete the thread.VT-16 wrote:Ah, he started this thread because you were thread necromancing. Tough luck.

The very fact that this thread exists shows that GR thinks that for a change, at least in his opinion your threadomancy might result in a worthwile debate (otherwise he would simply have locked the thread).

After all, the Rebels are total idiots who can't organize the simple act of pointing their guns at the biggest Imperial ship without Ackbar's help. They would never think of having a chain of command in case Home One went down. On what do you base the assumption that the Rebel fleet couldn't operate and would have fled had Ackbar died? How about if Jerjerrod had a stroke of tactical genius *cough* and actually aimed the first shot at Home One? Without Ackbar's leadership the Rebel fleet would have routed, let alone been able to organize concentrated fire at the Executor.
(this was edited only to correct a spelling error)
For the glory of Gondor, I sack this here concession stand!
Since there's multiple Calamari battleships like Ackbar's, how would they tell which is which? The second DS II blast did hit one, though:

If I recall correctly, someone on TF.N quoted the Rebel Alliance Source book stating that the Mon Cal cruisers formed the heart of the local sector taskforce and engaged in hit and fades. It is quite likely that many of the Mon Cal cruisers had a commander of a rank higher than the ordinary captain.
Of course, whether they had the tactical genius of Ackbar is another thing. Imperial intelligence might have difficulty identifying the cruiser that carried Ackbar's flag.

Sorry guys, one last off topic comment here then I'm done.Batman wrote: Yeah, right. GR split to this thread just so he could accuse you of threadomancy again..

Batman... I don't have a problem in any way with GR and splitting the thread in the manner he did. I just didn't know what happened and asked. The shot I took above was aimed squarely at VT-16 only, and it was intended to be a light-hearted one at that since he's usefully contributed to this thread previously as well. (hence the smiley)
This thread is primarily about establishing an Order of Battle for Endor and related stuff. If you can't come up with something related, please feel free next time to pass on pressing the 'reply' button jack-hole.
The thing I hate about them not taking out the larger ships first is that it's always used to bolster the arguement that Home One is only 1200m-ish like the rest of the cruisers. (Which I don't agree with at all.) And I suppose it would have destroyed the plot of ROTJ as well.VT-16 wrote: Since there's multiple Calamari battleships like Ackbar's, how would they tell which is which? How so? The only ones we see get taken out, are the ones closest to the DSII and in a straight line. For all we know, most of the Rebel ships were surrounding the HO. There's even a scene of a huge bolt coming eminating from a ship so far away, it can't be seen with the naked eye (when Piett orders to intensify the Executor's forward batteries), so the relative distances and manouverings in this battle are quite impressive.
