The entire post was all one thought, I just broke it up for simplicity. I would never think Yoda would abandon them to kill Dooku, although in the end it woul dhave saved lives, like all of the Jedi in paticular.....nightmare wrote: A: I was referring to Darth Garden Gnome's original objection: "But wouldn't it have been more heroic to, oh say, KILL DOOKU! Just when you thought Yoda was smart....

I didn't think it was deadly serious when I read it either.
Yoda's Oversights
I didn't understand why Yoda didn't just let the pillar fall Dooku's way either. Even damaging Dooku's ship a little, ruining its spaceworthiness, would have done the trick.
I'm also somewhat confused about how Yoda got to the hangar. I remember him ordering one of the clones to bring him a ship, then he was at the hangar. And the ship that presumably brought him, one that might POSSIBLY have been stuffed with backup troopers or which could have stood by just outside to shoot down any escaping enemies, that ship was...??? (Maybe I just missed a scene or something while chowing down on the popcorn--if so, wish someone'd explain it to me.)

Re: Yoda's Oversights
Is it possible it went back for Padme and the Soldier with her? It would probably be closer than anyone at the main battle.Biddybot wrote:I'm also somewhat confused about how Yoda got to the hangar. Anybody can come along and say "yeah, it wouldn't work" and leave. You provided nothing just said it was "ineffective." I believe it was you who contributed something pointless, no?kojikun wrote:christ you people took my words too literally. i meant ineffective in this context. duh.
