Otherspace...
I read about this region in some book but I don't remember in which.
As I remember if a ship's hyperdrive broke down while in hyperspace, it gets to this misterious area. This area is dominated by the Charon Death Cult or something like this. They worship death and want to kill every living organism.
Does someone have any info about this?

From what I know it's region of space the few would like to go. The only reason their a death cult is because their planet is slowly being drawn into a black hole and they do anything to increaces the pace of their deaths. That should be true if my memmory doesn't fail me.

I got my information there from the book "A Guide to the Star Wars Universe"Where in the hell did you guys find this? I have never heard of such shit.
Otherspace: The technologically advanced inhabitants of the galaxy know of realspace and hyperspace, and a select few have learned of a place that seems to exist apart from both these dimensions. Termed "Otherspace," this region is full of dead, lifeless planets. This void appears as a storm-gray expanse of nothingnesss, with some small swirls of colored gases and stars that look like shining holes of darkness. Only a few of the Charon's biologically engineered ships float in this dead void, seeking any last vestiges of life to slaughter as sacrifices to the Charon cult of death.
Charon: The Charon appear as humanoid arachnids, capable of spinning webs. They are divided into at least two distinct classes: bioscientists, and warriors. The bioscientists are the more intelligent of the two, working to keep the biologically based Charon technology and constructs in operating condition. The warriors are more single minded and aggressive. The Charon come from a homeworld on the verge of being swallowed by a black hole. This condition has led ot the development of a death cult whose members believe that the Void in the only constant in the universe. When the Charon developed a stardrive, instead of saving the species from the dying planet, the death cult set out in biologically engineered vessels to spread its doctrine of swift death to all life in the galaxy.
Lets see, reeferences to Otherspace and the Charon are in:
Otherspace, and Otherspace II: Invasion by WEG ( ) along with Galaxy Guide Four (also by WEG)
It seems that the YV wernt the first in Star Wars to use Biotech, as this book is pretty old, I bought it just after the Special Edition was shone in theaters.

That's stupid. Therefor from this forward, all of this Otherspace garbage will be erased form the memories of every creature, living or dead. Then they will be destroyed in the Great Book Fire of 1878. This endevor will require time-travel. Rev up that technobabble ya hear?

When a hyperdrive fails, the ship drops back into normal space. Period. End Program. There is no spoon. Got it?Boba Fett wrote:As I remember if a ship's hyperdrive broke down while in hyperspace, it gets to this misterious area. This area is dominated by the Charon Death Cult or something like this.
