A blaster-proof cloak? What'll they think of next! I'd be curious as to where you got this... what's it made out of? Cortosis?Dooku's cloak for example was able to absorb energy from sabers and blasters.
Sorry if this is old... but Leia survives a blaster shot..

Maybe because they had no problem with killing the ewoks and its easier to switch from high to low power than from high to stun?Kurgan wrote:You make a good case with the quote. But again, why is using low level blaster settings preferable to using the stun setting on the ST Rifles (other than Stormy incompetance)?

Doesn't say it's blaster proof, just that it helps, much like stormie armor isn't blaster proof, but is intended to make the shot survivable.Kurgan wrote:A blaster-proof cloak? What'll they think of next! I'd be curious as to where you got this... what's it made out of? Cortosis?
Ofcourse you do understand why armor is not made of materials like this yes?

Never said it would be blastproof, and since it's a high importance special ops mission then one tends to give the best and most expensive equipment to the important people.Kurgan wrote:Oh okay, so all the Rebels were wearing super blaster proof armor. Okay, I can buy that. Smart guys! ; )

Let me guess.. because it's "too expensive" to outfit everyone with right?Doesn't say it's blaster proof, just that it helps, much like stormie armor isn't blaster proof, but is intended to make the shot survivable.

I can buy Darth Vader having specialty armor, but Dooku's friggin' cape???
Why would his cape (a piece of cloth that hangs loosely behind him) need to be saber/blaster resistant? Is he like Count Dracula and he draws his cape around him to ward off attacks? (then again, Chris Lee is famous for playing Dracula in the 70's, so who knows) ; )
Please, show me your source for this info... I'm curious.

Well yes, price vs. perfomance.Kurgan wrote:Let me guess.. because it's "too expensive" to outfit everyone with right?
Not resistant, just absorbing as to make a possible hit survivable. Why would his cape (a piece of cloth that hangs loosely behind him) need to be saber/blaster resistant?
It's some expensive stuff, but Dooku is one of the richest persons in the galaxy.
