Hoth is an independent system, the sixth planet in the system is also called Hoth, that's where Echo base were located.
Anoat is another system. (Home of an Ugnaught colony)
Bespin is a third sytem.(Home of Cloud city and Tibbannapolis located on the planet Bespin)
These three systems are all in the Churba sector. Located relatively not far from each other.
The best theory I've read so far is that there is an inferior backup hyperdrive system, but it takes some time to get all the power and computers and stuff rerouted, not something you'd want to do in the middle of a fire fight.
