When do you think the EU jumped the shark?

It finally hit me that the EU was nothing but a cash cow when I read The New Rebellion. Up to that point, I was in denial about the whole thing and still thought each and every new novel was something special to be anticipated then savored then analyzed like the fucking Zapruder film.

Of course, the EU jumping the shark was nothing compared to the anguish I felt when I saw TPM...

Heh, unlike most of those who have posted I actually enjoyed the New Jedi Order (Well by enjoyed I mean held my hands over my ears and sang loudly over the parts I didnt like) But I did feel it was a fitting end to the EU. I also dodged Darksaber and the Crystal Star, very luckily it seems. However, the moment that I felt was the most ridiculous and will be forever burned into my memory was the frame from Dark Empire where Luke deflects an AT-AT with his lightsaber. I dont even remember what the buildup to that was, Immediately after seeing that pile of wank I threw the book across the room and I havent touched it since.
